ACCESS Partnership Committee

Develop and strengthen partnerships with ACCESS to support associate degree early childhood teacher educators.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between ACCESS and ECTPC members.

Identify and implement joint initiatives that enhance the preparation and professional development of early childhood educators.

Share resources, responsive practices, and research to benefit both organizations and their members.

Advocacy Committee

Develop and implement strategies to advocate for policies that support early childhood education.

Engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and the community to promote the importance of early childhood educator preparation. (WAEYC, DCYF, CCA of WA)

Organize events, campaigns, and initiatives to raise awareness and support for early childhood education issues.

OER Textbook Committee

Identify common courses in early childhood educator preparation programs that would benefit from OER textbooks.

Collaborate with SBCTC, educators and experts to develop high-quality, accessible OER textbooks in a variety of languages.

Promote the use of OER materials to reduce costs and enhance learning opportunities for students.

Practicum Alignment Committee

Evaluate and align practicum courses across two-year and four-year institutions to ensure consistency and quality.

Develop guidelines and responsive practices for practicum experiences.

Foster partnerships between institutions to facilitate seamless transitions for students.

Teacher Qualifications Committee
-
Review and recommend improvements to teacher qualification requirements and pathways.

Collaborate with state organizations that set the requirements for teacher qualifications.

Provide guidance and recommendations for teacher qualifications based on current industry standards that promote high quality care and education for children and families.

BAS Partnership Committee

Support the development of articulation agreements between 2 and 4 year institutions.

Collaborate and share resources that create continuity and alignment in advising and curriculum

Develop and facilitate cross-institutional faculty training and professional development.
